My Beliefs
- I believe in causality. As a whole this is a belief in destiny.
- I believe that the world and human experience is quantifiable and finite.
- I believe that solutions to problems can be very "simple". The power of an exponent is a "simple" operation conducted over and over again. Likewise brain surgery or nuclear science has very basic blocks.
- I believe that Socratic questioning can unlock many answers and give satisfactory results.
- I believe that destruction is easier than construction and that a determined attacker can achieve finite goals without being a mastermind or needing tremendous resources. A determined attacker will triumph over a determined defender.
- I believe that artificial intelligence is possible to achieve.
- I believe that marriages should have few (if any) legal protections.
- I do not believe in punishment. I believe in restitution, rehabilition, and prevention.
- I believe that in a democracy laws should be upheld or changed, not ignored or broken.
- I believe that the first function of any sort of government or institution should be to perpetuate its security and existence, whether family, classroom, business, club, or nation.
- I do not believe that fingerprints or snowflakes are unique. Furthemore I believe that fingerprints are replicable.
- I believe that competition is a fact of life, but also highly overrated as a beneficial force.
- I believe that we live on a planet overpopulated only in a social sense; otherwise human overpopulation is a myth.
- I do not believe in evolution. I like to draw similarities between evolution and Christianity/the Bible.
- I have a real sense of terror about needing popular approval in life, however poorly expressed this is.
